Western Veterinary Group is now looking for a full time Technician Assistant. Voted “South Bay’s Best” for a reason, we are a 5 doctor, small-animal private practice in Torrance that hires talent with excellent personalities to add to our awesome team!
Technician Assistants are responsible for the day-to-day care of patients and boarders. This includes feeding, cleaning, walking and monitoring the well-being of animals. General cleaning, upkeep, stocking and laundry are everyday duties. Technician Assistants will also administer vaccines, some injections, provide nail trims and similar treatments. Keep in mind their main focus is hospital housekeeping and maintaining a pristine working environment for the animals and staff.
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of related Technician Assistant OR kennel experience with companion animals (cats and dogs). You will be working in a progressive and fast paced environment with us. Must be a positive team player, have a “can-do” attitude, and excellent communication skills. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and be well versed in animal restraint.
The schedule is flexible with rotating shifts and weekends. Closed Sundays and major holidays as well!
