Jill Child
DVM, Medical Director
Dr. Jill Child grew up in Logan, Utah where she graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in bioveterinary science. She then graduated in 2003 as a doctor of veterinary medicine from Washington State University. Dr. Child moved to Miami, Florida for the next 15 years where she practiced emergency medicine, shelter medicine and then advanced dentistry and surgery in a general practice setting. Dr. Child and her family moved to the South Bay 8 years ago to be closer to family. She enjoys behavior and dermatology and has a passion for dentistry and surgery. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading and cooking as well as hiking with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys running with her dogs and tries to keep her calico cats out of trouble.

Dr. Regina Veit was born and raised on a small dairy farm near Munich, Germany. Her studies in languages soon brought her overseas to California, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from CSUDH. Dr. Veit received her veterinary degree from Western University of Health Sciences. She is also certified in veterinary acupuncture by the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and offers alternative and integrative medicine consultations for cats and dogs. In her free time she enjoys hiking, yoga, wine tasting and relaxing at home with her daughter Rose, three dogs Susie, Punkin, Bernie, and her two cats Grebez, and OG.

Dr. Alexander was born and raised here in Southern California. She moved to Missouri and received her degree from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. After a few years in Southern Illinois at a mixed animal practice she came back home. She has an interest in dentistry and internal medicine. She is also certified in veterinary acupuncture for cats and dogs by Curacore Veterinary Academy. In her free time she enjoys painting, relaxing at home with her cat EV, learning new dog tricks with her dog Fezzik, and tending a small garden for the gecko.

Dr. Taylor Rudeen was born and raised locally in San Pedro. She attended Fairfield University in Connecticut for her undergraduate studies and played volleyball there for 4 years. She graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. Dr. Rudeen attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts and Nevis, then moved to the Pacific Northwest where she completed her clinical year at Oregon State University. She has interests in surgery, dermatology, and internal medicine. Dr. Rudeen spends her free time reading, hiking, stargazing, watching live music, traveling with her fiance, and quality time with her 2 cats, Shrimp and Toast (both adopted from St. Kitts)!
