The Opportunity: Partner in Excellence
At Western Veterinary Group, our vision is simple: Improving the lives of pets and their humans. Voted “South Bay’s Best,” we are looking for a visionary DVM to serve as our Medical Director. As one of the few independent practices in our area, we have the clinical freedom to build the future of WVG while continuing to set the standard for veterinary care in the community. This is a collaborative partnership where you serve as
the medical heart of our team—shaping medical standards, mentoring a passionate staff, and defining our future, all while staying connected to the patients you love.
Why Doctors Choose Western Veterinary Group

- Elite Support Ratios: Every day, you are assigned a dedicated RVT/Technician, supplemented by additional float and hospitalization staff.
- Efficiency by Design: A dedicated Pharmacy Assistant manages prescriptions so you can focus on medicine.
- The “Sunset” Rule: Your last appointment begins one full hour before your shift ends, ensuring you get home on time.
- Protected Time: Enjoy 30-60 minute appointment slots, blocked lunch breaks, and dedicated client call-back time.
Your Impact as Medical Director
- Clinical Leadership: Uphold and advance hospital medical protocols with full support from a dedicated management team.
- Mentorship: Guide and support associate veterinarians, fostering a culture rooted in respect and growth.
- Collaborative Innovation: Partner with leadership on workflow efficiency and medical operations.
